JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: 12 Months 

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Reporting & Analytics Consultant to provide technical support for Tableau implementations as needed to maintain reporting infrastructure and user adoption. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify and document their reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop robust SQL scripts (T-SQL, PL/SQL) to support these requirements and work closely with IT teams to deploy reports into the production environment.
  • Conducting Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and Post Implementation Verification (PIV) to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting requests from business users, developing custom reports and analysis as needed.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead analysis and documentation of requirements for smaller/lower complexity application enhancement projects.
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, and that any stakeholders receive timely and ongoing communication.
  • Identify inefficiencies in role and improve through collaboration with IT.

Must Have Skills:

  • Minimum five years of relevant experience with proven success managing initiatives and juggling multiple stakeholder priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a logical, data-driven mindset and inherent sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Experience profiling data within an RDBMS (Sybase, MS SQL) using SQL
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical mind-set
  • Excellent communication – clear and concise oral, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate and maintain/build relationships
  • Some experience in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst type role.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • An understanding of corporate lending processes
  • A love of innovation and technology

  • Accurate and concise communication.

Education:

  • Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
