JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | California

Full Time Permanent

Typical Day in role:

Account Management & Client Relationship Development

  • Manage and grow relationships with key enterprise healthcare accounts, including hospitals, health systems, laboratories, clinics, research organizations, and strategic healthcare partners.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnership success.
  • Develop account plans, identify growth opportunities, and execute strategies to expand product and service adoption.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with stakeholders, executives, and procurement teams.

Business Development & Territory Growth

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to achieve and exceed territory revenue targets.
  • Build a strong pipeline of prospective customers through networking, industry events, referrals, and market research.
  • Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to support lead generation and market expansion activities.

Commercial Partnerships & Strategic Collaboration

  • Support the development and management of commercial partnerships, distribution relationships, and strategic alliances.
  • Work closely with internal teams including operations, clinical, regulatory, marketing, and customer success to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development.

Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement

  • Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments within the life sciences sector.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, client meetings, and networking events.
  • Provide market feedback and customer insights to support product development and commercial strategy. 

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, account management, or strategic partnerships within healthcare or life sciences.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise healthcare accounts and navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, life sciences markets, or commercial healthcare environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed. 

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience in diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare technology, or laboratory services.
  • Existing network within healthcare providers, hospital systems, research institutions, or payer organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Biotechnology, or a related field.
