JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 4.5months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Content Designer – CX, Figma to partner with designers, researchers, product managers, developers, and business lines to define content requirements and deliver compelling experiences .The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Plan, write, edit, and improve content for a variety of web and mobile products, making them easier to use and optimized for discovery
  • Work comfortably in Figma
  • Write clear, consistent, and concise user-interface content, such as product, offer and campaign campaigns, help articles, in-app notifications, release notes, and error messages, ensuring the tone and writing style express and elevate the brand voice
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with product managers and designers on content strategy, concepts, navigation, and storytelling
  • Understand the needs of our customers and synthesize research outcomes into viable content and communication experiences
  • Leverage communication channels to build relationships, inspire confidence, and influence decisions with your key stakeholders
  • Plan ahead for upcoming deliverables; identify key stakeholders/considerations early and deliver high-quality results

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5-7 years of experience as Content Designer
  • 2+ experience with Figma
  • 2+ years of experience with content writing for web or mobile applications
  • 2+ years of CX research experience

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience designing new web layouts
  • Previous experience in SEO and GEO
  • Previous experience as Designer with ecommerce industry

Soft Skills Required:

  • Strong attention and accountability to detail
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working across business lines, marketing, legal, digital and design
  • Storytelling and communication skills: you can translate complexity into clarity, advocate for content in cross-functional environments, and handle stakeholders and feedback with confidence and tact
  • Positive, can-do, open mindset
  • Problem-solving aptitude

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience – preferred fields: design, communication, journalism, media
  • SEO certification is an asset, GEO training
