JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: Until February 05, 2025

Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g. – JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, REST and SOAP Integrations) to support business requirements on the ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Analyse highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
  • Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years’ of experience required as an IT developer.
  • Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end
  • Hands on experience in working on the Service Now platform ITSM Modules (i.e. Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Knowledge, Service Operations Workspace etc.
  • Hands on experience in working on the Service Now platform as a developer using ACL's, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Rest and SOAP.
  • Overall- 3-7 years of JavaScript and ServiceNow development

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
  • Experience in Agile/Waterfall in large organization
  • ServiceNow CAD Certification, Servicenow ITSM Implementation specialist certification

Soft Skills Required:

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse complex situations.
  • Ability to present to stakeholders.
  • Good team player.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required or experience in the related field
  • ServiceNow admin, ITIL, training or certification
