Duration: 12 months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Program Manager – Wealth Management to quickly adopt Enterprise Delivery Framework practices and tools to manage initiatives effectively in collaboration with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
Adapt and Apply Delivery Framework
- Quickly adopt Enterprise Delivery Framework practices and tools to manage initiatives effectively in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Depending on the initiative, serve as either the initiative lead or coordinator.
Manage Financials, Schedule, and Scope
- Proactively manage budgets, timelines, and scope.
- Prepare funding requests and business cases in alignment with Finance, Technology and Transformation guidelines.
- Manage business cases associated with key initiatives.
Provide Program Leadership and Executive Communication
- Lead steering committee meetings and ensure inclusion of GIS executive reporting.
- Track resources against budget and maintain transparency with senior leadership.
Drive Global Stakeholder Alignment
- Coordinate stakeholders across regions to maintain momentum on deliverables and milestones.
- Ensure decisions and activities reflect the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture.
Partner with In-Country Teams
- Collaborate closely with regional teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment.
- Maintain accurate updates for all GIS strategic initiatives identified for program lead support.
Standardize Delivery and Communications
- Design meeting structures that maximize efficiency, leveraging the Bank’s “Better at Meetings” best practices.
- Champion continuous improvement through feedback collection and relationship building.
- Standardize and modernize presentation templates, executive dashboards, and reporting formats.

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with bank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Actively participates in driving a high-performance environment and fostering an inclusive work environment; communicates vision/values/business strategy and managing succession for the respective initiatives.
Dimensionsmanages
- Responsible for leadership and strategic influencing of key partners.
- Supports Global Investment Solutions, including Knowledge Centers, Portfolio Solutions, Trading & Partnerships, and collaborates with respective teams globally to ensure alignment and execution success of in-country transformations.
- Must have previous successes in delivering complex business transformation programs.
- Must have previous successes in defining robust business strategies for a complex, nuanced portfolio within the Wealth Management industry.
Must-Have Skills:
- 8+ years of experience as a Program Manager with Disciplined financial management experience (Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals)
- 5+ years’ experience in designing robust, multi-year business strategies with senior leadership
- 5+ years’ experience and demonstrated success delivering highly complex business initiatives
- Proven success influencing cross-cultural matrix-organized teams
- 5+ years of experience working in a regulatory environment and knowledge on parameters impacting the design and delivery of products and services within the Wealth Management industry
- 6)Strong Proficiency with MS tools (Visio, PPT, Excel) and knowledge of Confluence and JIRA
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience in leading and coaching teams, with a track record of attracting and developing talent.
- Relevant working experience in the financial sector, Wealth Management experience
- PMP certification
Soft Skills Required:
- Exceptional persistence and resilience
- Executive communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills: using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions, summarize conclusions and approaches to mitigate risks and navigating processes
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with business and technology partners globally
Education:
- Post-Secondary degree in Business Management or related field.
