Procurement Analyst

Position Purpose:

This role involves procuring goods and services in line with the budgets for various internal business clients. The role involves effective relationship management of business clients and suppliers to ensure service delivery commitments are met.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Sound understanding of sourcing execution methodologies
  • Supports the authoring of contract documents as required
  • Liaising with suppliers and business clients at various levels ensuring service delivery is met
  • Negotiating with suppliers in order to mitigate risk
  • Management of the end-to-end lifecycle for various RFx events – on as needed basis
  • Following market trends


Knowledge and Experience:

  • 3 to 6 years experience with planning, organizing, financial, budgeting and decision-making, in a Procurement context with increasing scope of responsibility
  • University degree in logistics, business administration or purchasing or supply chain management
  • Preference will be given to candidates with applicable Procurement-related certifications
  • Sound ability to draft, interpret, negotiate contractual agreements is mandatory (e.g. MSA, SOW,NDA, amendments, etc)
  • Software procurement experience including familiarity and understanding of software contractual clauses is essential
  • Experience in a financial institution is ideal
  • Familiarity with using Procurement CLM, VMS systems (e.g. Emptoris, iValua, Beeline)
