JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto
Duration: 12 months
Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for an Operational Risk Analyst to maintain data integrity and completeness within the PRC inventory. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
- Review existing Process Risk Control (PRC) libraries across the Bank, including any industry libraries to develop a singular, complete PRC library for use by all areas of the Bank.
- Review and validation of Operational Risk PRC inventory build out, including identification of duplicates, quality reviews, opportunities for enhancement of existing risk and control statements.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise taxonomies and risk management frameworks.
- Responsible for inventory maintenance and ensuring proper governance and review of records that are added, removed, or modified.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- 4+ years of recent experience with operational risk frameworks and risk & control taxonomies is critical for the role.
- 4+ years of experience with Operational Risk Management
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and data visualization tools
- 2+ years of experience with eGRC platforms (e.g., OpenPages, ServiceNow)
- Previous experience with strategic initiatives is crucial for the role
- Data integrity and quality management skills, with knowledge of data governance principles
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience in designing PRC libraries.
- Knowledge of process taxonomies preferred.
- Experience with AI tools and Microsoft Copilot is considered an asset.
Soft Skills Required:
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
