JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto
Duration: 6 Months
Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Office Clerk – Proficient to communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
Reviewing reqs from different firms, setting up reqs manually and electronically using CDS, Broadridge, DTC, issuing cheques -ACWS/ ASM for cash portion. Either cheque / ASM,
Processing transfers electronically (ATON) or manually.
Key Accountabilities:
- Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages
- Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities
- Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems
Must-Have Skills:
- Previous Transfer experience
- Client service experience (1-4 years)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Proficient computer skills in Windows-based software products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proven ability to effectively deal with difficult people, situations, and/or conflict
- Strong customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- The Canadian Securities Course is an asset
- Experience with Broadridge programs, CDS/DTC Settlement Systems

- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, mathematical, and exception-based processing skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Ability to understand and meet daily business support needs on an ongoing basis
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately on exception-based complex and/or highly specialized processes with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to work well and maintain composure under pressure
