JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 6 Months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Manager, Major Program Training Design and Delivery for designing, developing, and delivering the training required (incl. structure, content, and guides) to enable the launch of a new technology tool and related processes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
- Subject matter experts in both technology and process & methodology to understand the learning audience, assess their needs, design materials, and delivery channels.
- Work closely with the Director, Major Program Change Management, to align training approach and deliverables with the overall change strategy.
- Partner closely with Global Learning & Development to ensure alignment with guiding principles and standards.
- Deliver training metrics and track participation over time.
Must-Have Skills:
- PowerPoint (expert level, for developing content)
- Video software to support training content creation(e.g. Camtasia, GoAnimate, Adobe Premiere)
- Online registration and survey tools (e.g., Slottr, MS Forms) to support audience engagement and metrics
- Video conferencing tools (e.g., Webex, Teams) for training, delivery, and engagement sessions
- 7-10 years of experience designing and delivering training for new technology and/or complex processes in the context of the highly regulated global enterprise; background in Audit, Risk, Compliance, IT transformation (e.g. ERP, EITSM)
- Experience delivering training in virtual formats and leveraging/creating multi-media content (e.g. videos, tool overviews, How To guides) for a global audience
- Comfort facilitating and leading sessions to support large stakeholder groups (e.g., attending audiences upwards of ~150 people; total stakeholder group size ~1K)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and visual), ability to tailor message to audience, and comfortable presenting to senior leaders.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts in technology and the Business (ideally Audit, Global Finance, Global Risk, Compliance, etc.)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience introducing new technologies or changes to existing ones within an organization, minimizing disruption and maximizing adoption.
- Experience building learning strategies for digital communities
- Experience working with social intranet platforms as a critical enabler of training delivery
- Passion to create persona-based user experiences that speak to the needs of the audience

Education:
- Undergraduate degree and/or post-graduate qualifications in areas such as adult learning, teaching, training, instructional design, communications, HR required
