IT Project Manager – Cloud Onboarding/ Migration

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: Until October 31, 2026

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for an IT Project Manager – Cloud Onboarding/ Migration to act as the primary relationship manager between the business unit and platform teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Facilitate and manage onboarding activities including discovery, planning, and execution.
  • Navigate complex business processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management in cloud or enterprise IT environments.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
  • 3+ years of experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional team coordination.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end cloud onboarding or migration projects.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud Digital Leader).
  • Experience in the financial services industry or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Post-secondary education is required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Google Cloud certifications.
