JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 5 months (opportunity for an extension, or conversion to full time employee)

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for an Enterprise Digital Content Manager to play a crucial role in enhancing Bank’s internal online and email presence, aligned with Corporate Communications’ vision to be recognized as a Centre of excellence, to engage our internal audience through timely, visually appealing content delivered to an exceptional standard. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Receive content from Editor and communications colleagues in English and French, sometimes with digital image assets that may require further manipulation, sometimes with a request to source a suitable image
  • Lay content out in the Content Management System  – one for English and one for French – which may need some html coding, design skills, and eye for detail
  • Publish to the company intranet
  • Receive request to send an email to a group of employees, put content through proprietary email design, using embedded images and distribute
  • Additional work could involve manipulating and embedding video content, designing a new banner image for the homepage, posting a new campaign pop-up, distributing and publishing online copies of executive announcements, attending a meeting with our IT developers to consider next iteration of our design roadmap, development cycle of Bank’s net.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative
  • Be proficient in email technology, MS Outlook
  • Design skills
  • Must have demonstrable experience and/or qualifications up to degree level in communication, publishing or a related subject

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Dreamweaver
  • Experience with FTP toolsvideo editing, publisher
  • Experience with SharePoint, Canva
  • French desirable but not essential

Soft Skills Required:

  • An exceptional attention to detail
    • This is an extremely visible front-line position for Internal Communications – publishing and distributing messages from the Group Executive to 100,000 employees

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant or related subject preferred, or able to demonstrate through a strong portfolio considerable experience of working in web design and publishing
