JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 12 to 24 months
Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Enterprise Architect – Expert to focus on evolving our capital markets GenAI framework and aligning it with the enterprise offering. This will involve collaboration with senior executives on design choices to ensure our domain requirements are incorporated in the target solution. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
- Form and communicate technology guidance to standardize the development of commonly needed capabilities. (For instance, work with SMEs within markets and enterprises to figure out what our API strategy should be, build consensus, document it on Confluence, present it to senior leadership, and show dev teams how to implement it.)
- Review proposed architectures to align specific team requirements to high level goals of capital markets leadership and the bank.(For instance, why are you ordering a physical machine instead of using an internal cloud? Why are you using Redis over MemSQL Why are you pulling X from BankAppA instead of BankAppB)
Must-Have Skills:
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of software architecture (patterns, components, etc.)
- Strong understanding of programming (language pros/cons, threading implications, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data technologies (stores, access patterns, caching, etc.)
- Broad understanding of capital markets
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
- Understanding of model architectures (transformers, GANs, etc.)
- Understanding of GenAI capabilities / use cases and concerns / considerations
- Understanding of prompt engineering and RAG techniques
- Understanding of Ethical AI and responsible implementation
- Knowledge of data processing and management
- Experience with large language models (LLMs)
- Experience working on GenAI solutions in large, regulated organizations
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Deep understanding of capital markets products
- Ability to influence others
- Experience with cloud architecture
