Our Banking Client in Toronto is looing for multiple Business Analyst roles for the Global Wholesale Operations group to work on a Regulatory trade reporting project. 

(1 Year Contract with potential for Permanent or Extension)

Location: 150 King Street W (WFH for now)
Duration: 08/09/2021 to 08/08/2022 (12 months with potential for extension and perm)
Hours: Monday- Friday, regular business hours (37.5 hours per week)

Story behind the need: Need Business Analyst support for SBSDR program (G20 Trade Reporting BAU and Project work.)

Business group: GWO – Operations Control – Regulatory Trade Reporting- Supports the capital markets global business market team. Mandate is to ensure compliance with regards to regulatory reporting. (Part of global wholesale operations).

Project: Regulatory project SBSDR (security based swap data repositories) in which they requires support with trade reporting and portfolio reconciliation

Candidate Value Proposition:
– Opportunity to build a well-balanced profile within the regulatory technology and business domain

Typical Day in the role:
– Soliciting and writing business requirements in response to the regulation
– Executing and creating test cases
– Defining business solutions for the requirements
– Building controls around the solution (process, database solution)
– Reading rules and understanding business requirement, writing test cases
– Interact with the following stakeholders: Technology group, compliance, legal and other business stakeholders (confirmations, settlements)
– 40-50% in meetings/ working groups to understand how everything comes together and overall impact

Must have hard skills:
1. 7+ years of capital markets BA experience
2. 5+ years of G20 regulatory space experience (if not G20, any other regulatory project experience)
3. Well balanced understanding of regulations in business and technology

Nice to have hard skills:
1. CFTC trade experience or reconciliation experience

Education/ years of overall experience: Post-Secondary
