JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Onsite (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 6 months (Possibility for an extension, or conversion to full time employee)
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Business Analyst – Derivatives, Trading Applications to work with stakeholders across Canada and the US. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders to aid in the implementation of Front office, middle office, TFRM team & Financial engineer team
- Conduct proper documentation
- Gather requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
- Leverage knowledge of equity products to drive success of project
- Work in an Agile environment
- Work closely with stakeholders within all business functions to assess the current and future states, perform gap analyses, derive business requirements, and design solutions that meets business and regulatory needs
- Provide expert knowledge of cross-functional and business processes
- Provide support production issues
Must-Have Skills:
- 8+ years’ experience as a BA, including experience with documentation, ability to create workflow diagrams, business requirements, etc.
- 8+ years’ experience with derivative products within capital markets (interest rate swaps, equity options)
- High level experience in supporting the trading application
- 3+ years’ experience using both Excel and SQL
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders (front office within capital markets: trading floors, etc.)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Ability to participate in python scripting
- Advanced experience with SQL and databases
- Jira and Confluence experience
- Top Canadian banks experience in trading application project
Soft Skills Required:
- Able to document and clearly communicate with stakeholders
- Team player
Education:
- Bachelor's degree a related field required
