BSA – Payments, Mobile Banking

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 12 Months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a  BSA – Payments, Mobile Banking professional to drive joint application design solutioning sessions with our architecture, development, and security architecture teams that inform high-level estimates for large and medium-sized incoming initiatives. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Facilitate gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements, and turn them into use cases, user stories, sequence diagrams, etc. to meet development and stakeholder needs.
  • Create, refine and maintain the product backlog and associated deliverables, release backlog with forecasted delivery timelines
  • Bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment of both functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (such as reporting, performance, interfaces, and constraints.)
  • Help improve and drive our engineering practices by providing valuable input and suggestions as to what works well and what can be done better

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of relevant working experience, with 3-5 years of BSA experience, preferably within FI/banking
  • 2+ years of previous experience with Payments projects
  • 3+ years’ experience in API documentation
  • 2+ years’ Mobile banking experience
  • 3+ years’ experience within an Agile environment using JIRA/Confluence

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Postman experience

Soft Skills Required:

  • Good communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills

Education:

  • Post-Secondary, in a technical background
  • CSM an asset
  • CBAP an asset
