Bilingual Project Manager – Spanish, Banking

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: 6 months

Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Bilingual Project Manager – Spanish, Banking to lead end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning to execution and closure. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning to execution and closure.
  • Coordinate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Prepare and present status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Use tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Power BI for tracking and reporting.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience managing business-driven technology projects in banking or financial services.
  • Proven track record in digital transformation and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong command of project management methodologies (Scrum, PMI).
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Power BI.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders across regions.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience working in regional or multi-country project environments.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems or digital channels (e.g., mobile/web banking).
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) demonstrating agile delivery experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Technology, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree in project management, Business, or Digital Transformation (preferred).
  • Certifications (preferred): PMP, Scrum Master (e.g., CSM, PSM), or equivalent project management credentials.
