Our client, one of Toronto's fastest growing Real Estate Investment & Development company's, is in need of an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team for full time opportunity! The chosen candidate will work directly with the Manager of Accounting overseeing the entire AP process. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting for the accounts payable functions for their assigned projects.


  • Ensure coding, tracking, invoice chargebacks are maintained
  • Manager monthly recurring payments in a timely manner
  • Ensure all cheques & invoices are matched and tracked
  • Manage and maintain the tracking sheet of the full cycle of AP process
  • Perform required aging analysis and discrepancy reporting
  • Reconcile discrepancies with vendor statements maintaining strong customer service to strengthen business relationships
  • Reviewing aging report for AP and take note of outstanding amounts for manager approval on a monthly basis
  • Prepare necessary reporting packages for month, quarter, year end investor presentations 
  • Control project required AP tasks including but not limited to; invoice chargeback, project tracking sheets (expense reimbursement & corporate)
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required 


  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a corporate accounts payable (preferably in real estate industry)
  • Systems: MS Excel (Advanced skills, no macros needed) & Jonas (preferred, but not required) 
  • Strong communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and a positive personality
