Business Analyst – Capital Markets, Regulatory and Sec Lending

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: ASAP to 10/30/2026

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Business Analyst – Capital Markets, Regulatory and Sec Lending to solicit and write business requirements in response to the regulation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Executing and creating test cases
  • Defining business solutions for the requirements
  • Building controls around the solution (process, database solution)
  • Reading rules and understanding business requirement, writing test cases
  • Interact with the following stakeholders: Technology group, compliance, legal and other business stakeholders (confirmations, settlements)
  • 25-30% in meetings/ working groups to understand how everything comes together and overall impact

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of recent experience as a Senior Business Analyst
  • 5+ Capital Markets experience – Preferably Prime Services or Sec Lending background
  • 3+ years of experience in working on regulatory projects for other equivalent regulations; namely SFTR, CAT, FINRA, TRACE or CIRO trade Reporting
  • Experience with Prime Services and Sec Lending products
  • Well-balanced understanding of regulations in business and technology

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • 10c-1a rules knowledge
  • Working Experience and knowledge of systems such as Anvil and Global One

Education:
