JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: 6 Months 

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Full Stack Developer – Advanced to Provide product support and ensure system reliability. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Lead the development and support of the application, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and security best practices.
  • Develop new automation functions for Windows OS.
  • Address identified security vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices.
  • Provide product support and ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and scalability.

Must Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Node.js development, including REST API services.
  • Solid knowledge and 1+ year of experience with test automation frameworks, including Postman and Playwright.
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf to accelerate development and improve code quality.
  • Solid knowledge of MSSQL and database optimization.
  • Proven ability to address security vulnerabilities and implement secure coding techniques.
  • Experience mentoring and leading junior developers.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Vue.js and Vuetify frameworks.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of batch processing and event-driven architecture.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).

Soft Skills Required:

  • Communication
  • Detail to attention

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
