JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 12 months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for an IT Security Analyst – Zscaler. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Identify security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services, including project leadership roles.
  • Develop and interpret security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver documentation on designed and implemented proxy solutions.
  • URL Filtering & Proxy technology
  • Working with users to define what kind of web security policies they need
  • Working with internal regulatory and compliance teams to ensure the requirements are met
  • Working with change management to put through changes
  • Participate in security compliance efforts

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of working experience as an IT Security Analyst
  • 3-5+ years of experience with proxy (Zscaler)
  • 1+ years’ experience to reflect strong knowledge of networking: being able to troubleshoot networks.
  • Experience in implementing security policy in a large enterprise setting.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience within FI/ banking an asset
  • Familiarity/experience with: Bluecoat/Broadcom
  • Exp operating in public cloud environments

Soft Skills Required:

  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization
  • Strong decision-making, forward-thinking, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction

Education:

  • Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or a related IT field
  • Public cloud provider certificates: CISSP, CCSP
