JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto
Duration: 4.5 Months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a QA/ QC Analyst – AI to communicate complex ideas clearly and produce concise documentation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
- Assess project and design test plans to determine the risk of releasing the code and ensure the updates specifically match current approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Execute complex test plans, co-ordinate with developers and bas on a daily basis to meet the specific requirements for the project.
- Maintain a thorough and current understanding of a broad range of assigned banking applications, UAT code configuration, system integration, environment resources and code delivery process.
- Forecast workday estimates based upon project documentation; monitor resource demands and escalate resource shortfalls or conflicts as required
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance personal breadth and depth of expertise and proactively apply knowledge on the job; identify and recommend enhancements or modifications to UAT processes to continually improve overall department efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage stakeholders and ensure alignment between business and technical teams
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and produce concise documentation
- Use AI assistants (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate test generation and automation; review, validate, and refine AI generated test cases to write clear, structured prompts to guide AI for test case generation/regression tests and help with automation of tests as well
Must Have Skills:
- 7+ years of experience as a QA/QC Analyst, with hands-on experience gathering and analyzing requirements / user stories
- Experience using AI assistants (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate test generation and automation with the ability to review, validate, and refine AI generated test cases and ability to write clear, structured prompts to guide AI for test case generation/regression tests and help with automation of tests as well
- Experience demonstrating an end-to-end understanding of all SDLC phases
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Prior automation experience is desirable
- Working experience in the banking/financial services industry would be an asset – specifically with the client bank
- Knowledge of Credit and Risk applications preferred
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Bilingual in Spanish (conversational level or higher) to discuss with International Banking stakeholders

Education:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, or a related field.
- ISTQB / tester certifications are an asset
