JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid | Toronto
Duration: 9 Months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Senior Application User Acceptance Test Specialist to translate business requirements into test cases and execute them in the testing environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role:
This Senior Application User Acceptance Test Specialist role involves testing a Group Risk Management application across the Enterprise. The successful candidate will perform the following:
- Running manual tests to identify defects, document results, and publish findings to SharePoint.
- Communicating bugs to the team, walking through test scenarios with colleagues to validate coverage, and collaborating with the Operational Risk Management and IT teams to resolve issues.
- Maintaining consistent communication with project and business teams while ensuring tests cover all essential functionalities and business objectives.
Must Have Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in user acceptance testing, quality assurance, or a related field. Experience in senior or lead roles is preferred.
- Proven ability to identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and compatibility issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
- Strong data analytical skills and experience with SQL to identify gaps in the data migration process
- Archer (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, SharePoint
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Operational Risk Management concepts and processes
- Experience with operating in an Agile environment
- Experience with Python Scripting

- Ability to work collaboratively
- Strong communication skills, both in written and verbal forms
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
