Telecommunications Analyst – Advanced

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Vancouver

Duration: 12 months | strong likelihood for an extension

Our client, a leading financial institution in Vancouver, is looking for a Telecommunications Analyst – Advanced to manage the large-scale onboarding of 3,500 corporate mobile devices, including line activations, eSIM provisioning, device assignment, and delivery coordination. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Ensure accuracy of device and service records in ServiceNow, CIMPL, and other bank mobility/asset management tools
  • Partner with wireless carriers and internal stakeholders to resolve provisioning or activation issues promptly, minimizing delays for end-users
  • Research, recommend, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in high-volume device onboarding and future provisioning workflows
  • Provide operational reporting on onboarding status, order progress, and exception handling
  • Coordinate with Finance and IT Asset Management to ensure cost center alignment, billing accuracy, and inventory reconciliation
  • Assist with ongoing mobility requests, including new activations, upgrades, disconnects, and number transfers, as onboarding milestones are met
  • Deliver high-level support and training to operations staff and end-users on mobility processes and device setup

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3-5 years in telecom/mobility provisioning or IT operations
  • Strong understanding of corporate mobile device lifecycle processes (activation, provisioning, assignment, reclamation)
  • Experience using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for request intake, workflow approvals, and closure or provisioning tasks
  • Knowledge of TEM platforms for reconciliation of devices, costs, and inventory
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and track high volume of provisioning orders accurately under tight timelines

Nice-To-Have Skills:

Advanced Telecom Knowledge

  • Experience with global carriers
  • Knowledge of eSIM provisioning at scale
  • Familiarity with 5G device rollouts and enterprise mobility programs

End-User experience Focus

  • Strong customer service orientation

Global/Enterprise Environment

  • Experience supporting multi-region teams with different regulatory, compliance, and carrier requirements
  • Exposure to financial services or highly regulated industries (banking, insurance, healthcare)

Education:

  • Diploma or degree in Networking, IT, or Telecommunications (or equivalent work experience)
