Project Manager – Murex, Application Migration

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: ASAP to 01/27/2026

Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Project Manager – Murex, Application Migration to ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with bank enterprise standards, governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Oversee execution of project including planning, status reporting, financials management, resource management, risks & issues identification and escalation, scope management, and communication strategy
  • Establish and manage governance forums as required with business stakeholders, technology partners and other support functions, including working groups, operating committees, and steering committees
  • Develop and lead end to end delivery, providing primary coordination function between key stakeholder groups
  • Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising, creating a high performance environment
  • Anticipate business changes and client needs; recommends interventions and continuous improvement initiatives as required

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years Proven Project management experience
  • 5+ years of recent experience with Murex Trading platform
  • 5+ years of Application migrations and Technology integration experience
  • 7+ years of experience in coordination and oversight of large-scale testing cycles (Unit testing, IST, UAT)
  • 7+ years of experience with project financial management and resource planning

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to Operational / trade processing functions is highly preferred
  • Previous experience with Top 5 Banks/FI
  • FX and FX options product knowledge and associated life cycle event processing

  • Very strong communication skills, ability to work with all levels of stakeholders including executive levels.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PMP Certified
  • Change management certified is nice to have
