Risk Analyst – Proficient

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: 12 months

Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a  Risk Analyst – Proficient to support day-to-day operations to enable supplier governance and oversight activities throughout the third-party lifecycle using various tools and applications to support adherence to Third Party Risk monitoring activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Provide advisory support to key stakeholders in the Risk Assessment process, which may include clarification on communications on change management activities supporting the rollout of enterprise policies and standards, processes, and tools.
  • Identify process gaps and make recommendations for driving efficiencies and improvements within the Functions Supplier Management program and integration initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvements to ensure operational excellence, including maintenance, quality control, gap analysis, and opportunity of improvement of process and procedures.
  • Develop, build and manage effective relationships across Functions and other bank’s Business Platforms, including procurement, supplier management offices and centers of governance.
  • Resolve operational issues, risks and conflicts, work in collaboration with the key stakeholders, escalating where required

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Supplier Risk/Risk Management (Risk and Governance practices, Frameworks and methodologies, Supplier management life cycle)
  • Working knowledge of Archer, Ivalua, Concur or equivalent Risk and Compliance tools and software)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Data management and data visualization, such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with the financial services/banking 
  • Ability to read contract and commercial purchase language.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Strong communication & relationship management skills with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences and able to impact and influence senior management.
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to self-manage.
  • Quick learners

Education:

  • Business Administration degree (BComm / MBA) or/and CTPRP Certification, Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, Certificate of Professional Learning in Risk Management
