Reporting Analyst – Proficient

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: 12 months

Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Reporting Analyst – Proficient to provide support for ongoing satisfaction of clients by ensuring deliverables meet client needs and expectations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role: 

Responding to client queries, executing reports going to clients, assisting in the client set ups, working on any reqs coming from other team around gathering and reporting data/ skilled with pivot tables etc, to help assist with projects.

Client Service and Operations

  • Assist in new client setup and client maintenance processes to ensure accuracy of profiles in line with contracts, policies and regulations
  • Provide support for ongoing satisfaction of clients by ensuring deliverables meet client needs and expectations
  • Assists in the management of several client reporting databases to ensure:
  • Data integrity standards are maintained at all times
  • Segregation of duties are understood and maintained with regards to client profiles and processing
  • Client privacy activities meet compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Assists in the management of regulatory requirements
  • Work with team members in regards to investigations, analysis and issue resolution
  • Provide technical support for testing on critical and strategic projects
  • Assist with the organizational framework within Reporting and Control and help support the delivery of quality service and operational excellence
  • Work with Client Solutions to implement changes to meet client needs
  • Assist with application and process changes to promote understanding and ensure changes are properly implemented.
  • Ensure timely escalation to Management of any situation where Securities Lending is outside set Risk Policies outlining mitigation and recommendations for changes, if necessary.
  • Assist with the partnership with other TMS teams globally to manage initiatives and projects
  • Assist management with business initiatives

 

Quality Management

  • Support appropriate statistical quality measurements and incorporate them into daily activities to ensure quality and efficiency within the team
  • Work with the team and management to continuously identify opportunities to improve the team’s operational efficiency and mitigate the risk profile for both the client and bank I&TS
  • Support the team’s vision, goals and objectives in order to support goal congruence within the department as a whole
  • Assist to implement tactical requirements in operations, systems and the team
  • Support internal and external audit request to achieve satisfactory results
  • Maintain desk operating procedures and all documentation relevant to daily operations for Reporting and Control
  • Continually ensure high standards of operation, risk and relationship management within the group
  • Provide back-up coverage during absences

Must-Have Skills:

  • MS EXCEL, TRADE MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS, VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, MACROS
  • Demonstrated experience in an operational environment
  • Proven ability to work in a fast pace environment dealing on a global basis in cross functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of securities lending

Soft Skills Required:

  • A quick learner, ability to work under pressure, excellent written and oral communication.

Education: University or post-graduate degree
