Senior Analyst, Third-party Risk Compliance and Reporting

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 12 months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Risk Analyst – Advanced to participate and execute on third-party risk management projects, aiding the delivery of the bank’s Third-Party Risk (TPR) governance requirements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

Key activities include but are not limited to: Perform extensive analytics to understand and report on supplier risk performance, support the execution of regular reporting process and aid in automaton opportunities for the same, supporting the execution of third-party risk and compliance projects, identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities across the FSMO operations, work with and train stakeholders on the implementation of third-party risk framework etc.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an operational role with significant experience in execution of Third-party supplier risk management frameworks and methodologies
  • 2+ years of extensive reporting experience including data capturing, data analytics and storytelling in PowerPoint through data
  • 2+ years project management and execution (process improvement, business case creation, ability to write and explain complex requirements).
  • 1+ years of experience in dealing with compliance projects based on complex regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in Financial Institutions with exposure to Finance regulations (OSFI, FRB etc.) a plus
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous requirements and able to question, interpret, investigate, define the ambiguity and obtain answers.
  • Proven experience of delivering high quality reports and performing complex analytics
  • Practical knowledge and experience in supplier risk mitigation highly preferred
  • Experience in planning and change management. Ability to react to constantly changing demands on an ad hoc basis and to perform under time constraints with quality
  • Strong relationship management and team-oriented approach. Ability to build loyalty and trust by proactively anticipating needs/resolving issues
  • Maturity level and skill/judgement to be able to deal effectively with executive stakeholders
  • Formidable and proven critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of flexibility and resourcefulness.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of third-party risk and relationship management lifecycles
  • Working knowledge of Archer
  • Third-Party Risk Mitigation
  • Data management and data visualization, such as Tableau

Education:

  • University degree in Business/Risk or similar discipline
